Weather Watch for Feb. 9

We might be getting snow!

Given the weather forecast for this Sunday, we want to prioritize everyone’s safety and time. Our staff and Bill Harwood, our Church Moderator, have decided to postpone the Annual Meeting to next Sunday, February 16. We want as many people as possible to join us for the meeting and the lunch. 

Due to the Winter Weather Advisory and the forecast for snow during the overnight hours up to 7:00 am, we are canceling our 8:30 am worship service on February 9. We will have a blended service at 10:00 am that will be simpler than usual led by Pastors Joe Greemore and Doug Scalise and Music Director Chris Morris. We will also have Children’s Worship during this service.  All other activities for the morning are canceled. 

We don’t want anyone traveling on the roads tomorrow morning who has any concerns about safety or travel conditions. The Town of Brewster has advised people to try and stay off the roads once the snow begins until such time on Sunday when the storm has passed, and the roads are cleared. We need to allow our plowing company time to clear the church parking lot and that would not be possible in time for a service at 8:30 am. If you live close by and your road is plowed and you’re able to join us in person, you’re welcome. Otherwise, we invite you to join our regular online worshipers in being with us online.
