Worship Services at the Church

We returned to in-person services June 21st, 2020.

Here are 2 pages with information:

  1. Pastor Doug's letter about re-opening
  2. A detailed description of "What to Expect" when you come to church

You can also watch the service online, and join in "virtual fellowship!" Read more on the Worship & Virtual Fellowship page.

Please ignore the information below the line (sorry!), because things are changing and somewhat uncertain.

Our (old) Worship Schedule

December 29, 2019 through March 29, 2020 we have 2 services on Sunday:

  • 8:30 a.m. – With contemporary songs, lead by our Praise and Worship Team
  • 10:00 a.m. - A "more traditional" format, accompanied by the Church Choir

Childcare is available in our nurseries during both services for children Infant – Age 5.

During the first service we also offer a separate Children's Worship time. About halfway through the service, children kindergarten through 4th grade may leave the Sanctuary to attend their own worship time upstairs in the Chapel, which lasts approximately 30-40 minutes. The kids have a chance to worship, and they learn about, discuss, and have activities planned around the worship theme for the week and the major "elements" of the service ("Why we pray for folks in our congregation," for example). It's a safe place to ask questions, and it's fun, too!

During the 10:00 service, we offer Sunday School for all ages.  The children all come together for a short time of worship, then separate into their classes for the morning’s lesson. This year, our children and students are working through “The Gospel Project” by Zondervan.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly... as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16

There is an extensive media ministry at the church. Most of our services are videotaped and are recorded on disk. The weekly messages are available online from the Messages page, and you can find many of them on the Brewster Baptist YouTube Channel, too. An edited videotape is shown on AT & T Broadband community access television each week. The video and audio disks are available to borrow from the church library.
