At Brewster Baptist Church, the Advent season will focus on the theme of family as we look at Jesus’ family tree, his Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Zechariah, his cousin John, Mary and Joseph his parents, and even the New Arrival and the birth of Jesus himself.

Today’s reading is Matthew 1:1-16, Jesus’ Family Tree.

The Verse of the Day is Matthew 1:16,

“and Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom Jesus was born, who is called the Messiah.”
