At Brewster Baptist Church, the Advent season will focus on the theme of family as we look at Jesus’ family tree, his Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Zechariah, his cousin John, Mary and Joseph his parents, and even the New Arrival and the birth of Jesus himself.

Today’s reading is The Gospel of Luke 2:1-14, The Angels and Shepherds.

The Verse of the Day is The Gospel of Luke 2:10-11,

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.”
