Rejoicing in Our Present: The Greemore Family

Joe, Shelby, Corbany, Addyson, and Greyson Greemore came to Cape Cod in July of 2020. On August 17, 2020, Joe began serving BBC as Pastor of Worship.

Joe and Shelby met in 2003 at Ottawa University (KS).
He graduated with a degree in Religion and Philosophy.
She graduated with high honors with a degree in Elementary Education.
They were married on December 16, 2006 at First Baptist Church, Newton, KS.
The Greemores have served churches in Kansas, Colorado, Iowa, and now Massachusetts.
Joe enjoys biking, landscaping, music, travel, and udon noodles. He served in the United States Army Reserve from 2006 to 2013, spending time training and serving in Kansas, Colorado, and Uganda.


Joe was ordained in April of 2013, and is in his sixth year of service as a Board Director with International Ministries, also known as the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society.
Shelby enjoys gardening, walking for fitness, tennis, pickleball, landscaping, reading, and baking desserts.
Shelby has served as the Worship Ministry Core Leader (contemporary services) along with Linda Viprino (traditional services).
She has a passion for connecting faith and learning, connecting BBC in the community with Eddy and Stony Brook Elementary Schools.
Shelby served as Special Events Coordinator at BBC, working with Pastor Doug for a year, which included leading VBS and other community-based activities.
Corbany will be in Grade 11 and enjoys animals. She hopes to be a veterinarian. She plays violin and volunteers her time in the tech booth, where she can operate any of the four stations. She enjoys reading, helping with VBS, and is grateful for her friends in student ministry.
Addy will be in Grade 9 and enjoys reading, serving in the nursery, participating in the praise team, helping with VBS, and her friends. She hopes to be a nurse.


Greyson will be in Grade 7 and enjoys reading, participating in the praise team, playing clarinet, helping with the nursery, Sunday School, student ministry activities, and listening to the sermon. He hopes to be an engineer.
Their dog, Lexi, joined the Greemore family in 2022.
Genealogy note: Shelby, Corbany, Addyson, and Greyson are descended from BBC founding member Sarah (Snow) Crocker. They are also cousins to Baptist Missionary Adoniram Judson (1788-1850). Moving to MA has been the journey of a lifetime for the Greemore family!
They are inspired by many faithful volunteers, leaders, and staff at BBC.
