Christ Our Advocate
Jesus is our Advocate, he is the Righteous one, and he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. It can be hard to understand how Jesus’ death leads to the removal of our sins and their effects. Jesus’ atoning sacrifice is required because of God’s wrath toward sin. God’s wrath is not irrational, out of control anger or explosive temper. Wrath is God’s eternal opposition to sin and evil.
