Be Engaged: Share Your Heart, Do Your Part
A new worship series here at Brewster Baptist.
A recent article noted that one consequence of the COVID pandemic over the last several years is that people have become more selfish, contentious, and less considerate of others.
That is not how we’re called to live as Christ followers.
Our next worship series at BBC seeks to counter those kinds of negative behaviors and it’s called, “Be Engaged: Share Your Heart, Do Your Part.”
We’ll be hearing about five ways to be engaged that will help you grow spiritually and feel more connected to other people and to Christ and the church.

The first way to be engaged is to worship in person or online and worship involves more than what we do on Sunday.
In addition to worship, we’re engaged when we serve in some way, in a ministry or on a team to glorify God and to build up the Body of Christ and serve our neighbors as we share God’s love.
A third form of engagement in sharing in community such as a small group, a Bible study, or a ministry team.
A fourth way of being engaged is our giving to the Lord’s work in and through BBC. We give out of our gratitude and thanks to God for all the Lord’s blessings in our life.
The fifth sign of engagement is that we are inviting people. We’re always looking to share what we enjoy at BBC with others by inviting them to worship and other events and opportunities that the church is providing. In John 1.41-42, Andrew is our role model in telling his brother Simon Peter about Jesus and bringing him to the Messiah.
Worship, serve, share in community, give, and invite – these are five ways we share our heart that reflect our commitment and devotion to Jesus and the church, and they all help us to grow and mature spiritually.
We hope you’ll prayerfully consider getting engaged with BBC in these five ways.
