This week we continue our series “Reimagining the Church.” Each week, we’ll explore a different New Testament image or metaphor for being disciples of Christ and the church and the focus this week is from 1 Peter. Pastor Doug will be sharing about what it means to be A Home for the Homeless.

Today’s reading is 1 Peter 3:13-22, Gentleness and Reverence.

The Verses of the Day are 1 Peter 3:15-16a,

but in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and reverence.
