Alpha is a ten-week course designed for those who like asking questions.

Perhaps you are new to the church and are struggling to understand the concepts and vocabulary the Bible teaches us about.

Maybe you are a seeker, one who doesn’t quite know yet what they think about Jesus, but are intrigued by His message of love and acceptance in a world that lacks it.

Maybe you struggle with doubt; you believe in Jesus but are not quite sure how the hope of God fits together with the pain and suffering we see all around us in the world. If any of this resonates with you, then Alpha might be a good fit for you.

Alpha began in 1977 out of Holy Trinity Church in London, England and since 1990, has been faithfully led by pastor Nicky Gumbel and his wife Pippa. Each week following a meal, Alpha participants gather together to watch a video around one of the core tenets of the Christian faith: God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church, the Bible, Good vs. Evil, etc. Then, periodically throughout the video, special time is alluded for round table discussions to engage with these topics ourselves.

Hopefully, by the end of the ten weeks, a new, robust understanding of the Christian faith and the part you have to play in faithfully following Jesus becomes visible.
