Week 2 Philippians: Having the Mind of Christ

Chapter 1 ends (1:27-30) with teaching about Christian conduct in relation to a hostile, unbelieving community outside the church.

Chapter 2 begins with teaching about Christian conduct within the believing community (2:1-11). Paul’s instruction about living the Christian life is shaped by the image of being a servant, of which Christ is the supreme model (2:5-11).
