Brewster Baptist Bicentennial
1824 - 2024
This year we have been celebrating 200 years of Christian Life and witness in and through Brewster Baptist Church.
Our Celebration service was held December 23, 2024 (you can watch the whole video). And you can also look through all the great pages that were created throughout the year.
Can you even imagine what life was like on Cape Cod back in 1824? It's hard to imagine, isn't it?
How few people were here, how wooded it was - or was not because they cut down all the trees - but what life was like in 1824?
When a small group of fishermen, farmers, and artisans, responding to the leading of the Spirit, and also some changes in the Commonwealth, had the faith and courage to launch out and found and establish a new church.
Throughout the year we're going to be sharing videos along the three themes of:
- Remembering our past
- Rejoicing in our present
- Reimagining our future
There will be videos with and about some of the significant people and events and moments in the history of the life of our church which we hope will be informational, educational, and inspirational.
