Rejoicing in Our Present: The Pranga Family
This past August, Pastor David and Christy Pranga celebrated their 10-year Anniversary here at Brewster Baptist Church.
Pastor David Pranga, BBC’s Executive Pastor, is one of six pastors who have served at BBC for 10 or more years throughout its 200-year history.
David and Christy both grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
They met in college through Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship.

David graduated with a degree in Physical Education and a minor in Coaching.
Christy graduated with a Special Education Degree in Elementary and Middle School.
They were married on August 1, 1997, and are now in their 27th year of marriage.
They have five children, ranging in age from 14 to 22.
After graduating from college, David worked with Youth for Christ in Racine, Wisconsin, serving with inner city students by setting up Bible clubs in the local middle and high schools and coaching football and basketball at the local high school.
David and Christy returned to the church in Whitewater, Wisconsin, where they attended while in college, and David became its first Youth Pastor.
David then served as Associate Pastor in Madison, Wisconsin.
He felt called to continue his education and went on to get a Master of Arts degree in Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
God then brought the family to Westborough, MA, where David served as Associate Pastor for several years before coming to Brewster.

At Brewster Baptist Church, in his role as Executive Pastor, David oversees the finances, facilities, staff, day to day operations and works closely with the Core Ministry leaders to help them lead their ministry teams.
David has also participated in several BBC mission work trips (pictured right in Puerto Rico) and plays on the church softball team. He enjoys leading small groups and meeting people in the congregation.

David enjoys watching his Wisconsin sports: Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Wisconsin Badgers football, basketball, and volleyball teams. David enjoys watching his kids’ sporting events, playing cards and boardgames, and grilling out!
Christy is currently in her ninth year working in the Nauset Integrated Preschool at Stony Brook Elementary School.
She enjoys being in nature, reading, paddleboarding, walking/hiking, biking, going to the beach, hanging out as a family and being a mom.

Over the years, Christy has enjoyed partnering with David in ministry, leading small groups and prayer groups, and helping out wherever she has felt needed or called. Currently, Christy enjoys participating with the Worship Team, Choir, and teaching the middle and high school Sunday School classes.
