Verse of the Day June 11

This week, we continue our new worship series, “Anchored in the Unchanging Christ: A Letter to the Hebrews.” Our pastors will be using the daily devotions throughout this series to dig deeper into the Book of Hebrews. Pastor Doug focused this week on Hebrews 6:13-20, showing that Hope is a sure and steadfast anchor that we can depend on.

Today’s reading is Hebrews 7:1-3, King of Righteousness, King of Peace

The Verse of the Day is Hebrews 7:2,

and to him Abraham apportioned “one-tenth of everything.” His name, in the first place, means “king of righteousness”; next he is also king of Salem, that is, “king of peace.”
