Verse of the Day December 2

At Brewster Baptist Church, the Advent season will focus on the theme of family as we look at Jesus’ family tree, his Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Zechariah, his cousin John, Mary and Joseph his parents, and even the New Arrival and the birth of Jesus himself.

Today’s reading is 2 Samuel 11:1 – 27a, The Story of Bathsheba, the Wife of Uriah.

The Verse of the Day is 2 Samuel 11:26-27,

“When the wife of Uriah heard that her husband was dead, she made lamentation for him. 27 When the mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son.”
