Opening Prayer and Lord’s Prayer 11/22/09

Dear Lord, who surrounds us with compassion and favor, hear our songs of love and words of praise.

We bless you God and lift up your holy name.

We sing for joy at the thought of your glory and power of your presence.

You have made your face to shine on us and showered us with grace.

You have been with us and walked through our days with us.

Thank you God for your hand that holds us, for your word that encourages us, and for your grace that saves us.

Blessed be your name, holy God our father and Jesus who encouraged us to pray… Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
