One doesn’t have to look long or hard at our lives, around our nation or the world, to see much grief and loss from our own pain to wildfires and floods, the situation in Afghanistan and the ongoing pandemic.
We’re not the first people to experience difficult and traumatic circumstances and we can learn from how others have coped.
Greg Scalise will be sharing from the Book of Judges and looking at why God shared some strange stories in the Old Testament and what it means for our life today.
We begin part two of our Bible series “Learning from History so We Don’t Repeat It,” Pastor Doug shares from the Book of Joshua about an inspiring Biblical character named Caleb.
Pastor Doug shares about the Book of the Deuteronomy. Moses reminds the Israelites that God calls for each one of us to be a person that has reverence for life – our own life, for every other person, and for every living thing that God has made.
Pastor Doug will be sharing about today’s book of the Bible, Numbers. It is largely a story about “Embracing Uncertainty”, which makes it very appropriate for our time. Specifically, the uncertainty of trying to live faithfully when much is unknown and unpredictable.
This week in worship, as we continue through the first part of the Bible and the Choices that Change Us, Pastor Doug will be sharing about “Being Open to the Unexpected” from the Book of Exodus. You never know when you might encounter a messenger of God, or when you might be the Lord’s messenger for someone else.
We begin a new series, “The Bible – A Story of Love, Belonging, Redemption, and Hope.” In Part 1, we will look at the Choices that Change Us in the first five books of the Bible beginning with Genesis. In Genesis we will learn from the story of Abraham that God wants to have a relationship with us, and we can choose to have a relationship with God.
