A Jesus-Centered Life
In her message, “A Jesus-Centered Life” from Luke 18:9–17, Gwyneth Preu explores what Jesus really means when He calls us to humility through the Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector and His welcome of little children. Biblical humility doesn’t mean ignoring our needs, becoming passive, or allowing others to take advantage of us; it means moving from a self-centered life to a Jesus-centered life. Like children who trust and depend upon a loving parent, we’re invited to seek Jesus openly, bring our needs to Him, and depend upon His love and guidance. Through gratitude, prayer, and action, we can cultivate an active, childlike faith centered on Jesus.
