Stewardship of God’s World

God has provided us with a truly awesome planet to call our home.  The beauty and majesty that surrounds us every day is beyond description.  God has gifted us with everything we need to survive and thrive here on Earth and made us its stewards.  That means we don’t own the Earth’s resources.  God trusts us to make wise decisions which consider the well-being of our planet and our fellow inhabitants.  Not only for today, but for future generations.

We have all seen what can happen when we made bad decisions about caring for the planet.  Sometimes it seems impossible for one person to make a difference.  But there are things we can do, both in our Brewster Baptist Church community and in our own lives.  Our church has already taken significant steps to save energy, reduce water use and to reduce and recycle.  There is more work to be done.  As we go forward, we will be exploring ways to be better stewards of the world, honoring both God and the Earth.
