Verse of the Day August 12

This week, we resume our new worship series, “Anchored in the Unchanging Christ: A Letter to the Hebrews.” Our pastors will be using the daily devotions throughout this series to dig deeper into the Book of Hebrews. Pastor Doug focused this week on Hebrews 12:1-13, reminding everyone to “Run Your Race”. 

Today’s reading is Hebrews 12:5-6, Trust God’s Discipline

The Verse of the Day is Hebrews 12:5-6,

And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as children— “My child, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, or lose heart when you are punished by him; for the Lord disciplines those whom he loves, and chastises every child whom he accepts.”
