Verse of the Day March 5

During February and March Brewster Baptist Church will be devoting eight weeks to examining the question, Who is Jesus and What Does He Offer? by looking at what Jesus says about himself in the Gospel of John and in the book of Revelation.

Each week we’ll focus on one of the “I Am” sayings of Jesus. Jesus uses a number of powerful images to describe himself and what he offers to people.

This week we will be focusing on “I Am the Resurrection and the Life” from John 11 and the story of Lazarus.

Today’s reading is The Gospel of John 11:1-16, The Illness and Death of Lazarus.

The Verse of the Day is The Gospel of John 11:14-15,

Then Jesus told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead. For your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”
