Congregational Prayer 2/28

God of power and might, as we settle into this place of sanctuary we, we know that we’re here from so many different places are listening for your instructions and encouragement.  We want to know you and understand you better.  We’re at all different places in our faith, we have questions and struggles in different areas.

[powerpress]Lord, in these moments we just want to offer you our areas of challenge. You know the things that are hard for us, so we just want to put them out there and ask you to help us trust you with them.  Like the Psalmist, we want to be the ones who are happily trusting, singing our songs of praise celebrating the wonders of your love for us.  The idea that you are thinking about us is almost unreal, yet so comforting.

We join together to intercede for those who need your help today.  We pray for the family’s of those injured or killed in Chile’s earthquake.  Be with them in this time of shock and grief.  Be with them in their grief and loss.  Be with them as they work through the destruction.  We lift up everyone who is dealing with illness and ask for your healing.

Lord, according to your grace, give us all an open ear, a patient heart and a steady step and we will trust your word and sing your praises.  Thank you for the good news of your deliverance, and your steadfast love and faithfulness.
